Beautiful rye coloured place mat that captures the moment of flowers falling from the trees in May landing softly beneath them. The place mat is a poetic feature of the table decoration and creates a summery and feminine ambience with its organic idiom and oval design.
In Rye the simple motif of volatile flowers lights up on the brown nuance inspired by rolling rye fields. As beautiful in the winter time as on a May day. The place mat can be the foundation for everything from the simple monochrome table decoration to a poetic story in several colours that can be completed with branches, grasses, and flowers of the season. Matching napkins will also suit the place mat.
The MAY design is hand selected in our archive full of beautiful textile designs with a timeless appeal. The motif was originally designed in 1989 by the painter and graphic artist Susanne Brenøe inspired by the landscape in May, when all the trees burst into full bloom, and even losing the flowers is full of poetry. The design evokes the beautiful sight of small white flower petals that have landed randomly on the place mat after the hawthorn lost its flowers.
The MAY design is also available as tablecloths and table runner.
