ARNE JACOBSEN tea towels Dusty Lavender

   In stock
An elegant lavender coloured dish towel in a classic design by the iconic Danish architect. The timeless design has been selected from the surviving sketches of Arne Jacobsen, and creates a beautiful symmetry and stylish expression suitable for both the modern and more classic kitchen.

In Dusty Lavender the dish towel exudes a French lightness and elegance with its reference to fields of lavender under southern skies. The soft purple colour sets a feminine tone and lets the French sensations spread through the kitchen.

The design was launched in 2002 as a tribute to the Danish architect to mark the centenary of his birth and serves to continue the design legacy of Arne Jacobsen in all its elegance and simplicity. The Arne Jacobsen design collection has been carefully chosen in collaboration with his grandson, Tobias Jacobsen, who has also designed textiles for our collection.

The ARNE JACOBSEN design is also available as tablecloths, table runners and place mats.

The size of the tea towel is 50 x 80 cm.

About Damask

Georg Jensen Damask is a culture bearer within Danish design tradition as well as the history of craft. Our history is built on proud weaving traditions since 1756, but members of the family behind Georg Jensen Damask have been weavers all the way back to the 1500s.  The weaving is based on a classic design with a focus on functionality and quality both back then and today.

Throughout times we have worked together with some of the most acknowledged weavers, designers and architects, for example Arne Jacobsen, Cecilie Manz, Andreas Engesvik, Margrethe Odgaard and Nanna Ditzel. Furthermore, we have been involved in several projects with the Royal Danish Court and we are proud to call ourselves Purveyor to Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark.
