Wash at 60 °C. White damask products can be washed at 95 °C.
Unfold product before washing and avoid overfilling the washing machine.
Stretch the product while wet.
We recommend line-drying, it gives a smoother result and it is better for the environment.
Always observe the washing instructions provided on the product. Wash at 60°C opens the cotton yarns and it becomes clean. Many people think that washing the tablecloth at 40 °C will make the product last longer, but the products are made for high temperature.
For a smoother table runner, we recommend washing it at a low spin speed – max. 600-800 rpm. Hang to dry and iron it while it is still slightly damp.
The table runner’s iconic motif celebrates Christmas as the season of goodwill and is a signature design in our collection. The table runner can be placed directly on the table or over a white damask tablecloth for a more formal look.
The Christmas motif was designed by Bodil Bødtker-Næss, who belonged to the inner circle of textile artists at Georg Jensen Damask in the 1970s. The pleated Christmas hearts and stylised spruce twigs have represented the quintessence of Danish Christmas spirit for more than 45 years, and the design is an indispensable part of Christmas in many homes.
The dark green colour Copenhagen gives the table runner a particularly evocative look. The colour is inspired by the green shade found on Copenhagen’s gates and benches, and on the Christmas table, it creates a look that connects a traditional and modern Christmas.
