Wash at 60 °C. White damask products can be washed at 95 °C.
Unfold product before washing and avoid overfilling the washing machine.
Stretch the product while wet.
We recommend line-drying, it gives a smoother result and it is better for the environment.
Always observe the washing instructions provided on the product. Wash at 60°C opens the cotton yarns and it becomes clean. Many people think that washing the tablecloth at 40 °C will make the product last longer, but the products are made for high temperature.
For a smoother table runner, we recommend washing it at a low spin speed – max. 600-800 rpm. Hang to dry and iron it while it is still slightly damp.
Design: Bodil Bødtker-Næss
The iconic motif on the table runner celebrates Christmas as the season of goodwill and is a nostalgic signature design in the damask collection. The runner can be placed directly on the table or over a white damask tablecloth for a more formal expression.
Bodil Bødtker-Næss, who was one the inner-circle of textile designers at Georg Jensen Damask in the 1970s, designed the motif. She was also responsible for the classic Easter design from the same period. The braided Christmas hearts and stylised spruce twigs have represented the quintessence of Christmas atmosphere for more than 40 years and the design is an essential part of Christmas in many Danish homes.
The classic colour combination of Christmas red and gold has a special place in the hearts of many Danes and has been part of our collection since its introduction in 1975. With its simplicity, the runner upholds the original colour combination of the classic Yuletide traditions. Matching napkins woven in linen complete the expression.
