Setting the table and making an effort is a pleasure that rubs off on the good company around the Christmas table, where the tablecloth is an established tradition in the table setting on both Christmas Eve and on the many other days during the Christmas time. Especially the classic Christmas tablecloth, the damask tablecloth with the stylistic Christmas heart dated 1975 and designed by Bodil Bødtker-Næss. Many designs in our Christmas collection are linked to this classic motif, which, with its symbolic appeal of Christmas joy and love, is at least as popular today and remains a beloved classic.

The Christmas collection is just as beautiful for decorating your own Christmas as well as for Advent and Christmas gifts, for which the wrapping itself is part of the pleasure. You can, of course, choose to have your different designs wrapped nicely in our specially designed gift packaging that exudes exclusivity.

About Damask

Georg Jensen Damask is a culture bearer within Danish design tradition as well as the history of craft. Our history is built on proud weaving traditions since 1756, but members of the family behind Georg Jensen Damask have been weavers all the way back to the 1500s.  The weaving is based on a classic design with a focus on functionality and quality both back then and today.

Throughout times we have worked together with some of the most acknowledged weavers, designers and architects, for example Arne Jacobsen, Cecilie Manz, Andreas Engesvik, Margrethe Odgaard and Nanna Ditzel. Furthermore, we have been involved in several projects with the Royal Danish Court and we are proud to call ourselves Purveyor to Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark.
