Design: Christine Raundahl

The timeless lavender coloured kitchen towel is made of soft, high quality Egyptian cotton, which ensures an excellent drying capacity. The kitchen towel adds luxurious functionality to the kitchen, creating an elegant unity with dish towels and attractive kitchenware.

In Dusty Lavender the kitchen towel contributes a soft colour touch that suits a farm kitchen, a wooden kitchen, or more minimalistic interior designs with its reference to shining fields of lavender under southern skies. The colour is saturated with French lightness and slow pace as a contrast to a busy working day.

The design is by Christine Raundahl, who works with both print and weaving. With EGYPT, she has created a beautiful woven pattern that harmonises with the other dish towels in the collection in its expression and simplicity, yet it is also beautiful in its own right. The kitchen towel, which is the same size as a dish towel, has become a classic since first being introduced, and is continuously modified to the fit with the range of colours in the collection.

The size of the kitchen towel is 50x80 cm.

About Damask

Georg Jensen Damask is a culture bearer within Danish design tradition as well as the history of craft. Our history is built on proud weaving traditions since 1756, but members of the family behind Georg Jensen Damask have been weavers all the way back to the 1500s.  The weaving is based on a classic design with a focus on functionality and quality both back then and today.

Throughout times we have worked together with some of the most acknowledged weavers, designers and architects, for example Arne Jacobsen, Cecilie Manz, Andreas Engesvik, Margrethe Odgaard and Nanna Ditzel. Furthermore, we have been involved in several projects with the Royal Danish Court and we are proud to call ourselves Purveyor to Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark.
