FLOWERS AND EASTER COLOURS

Our archives are full of iconic classics and stunning retro-designs. Designs that stand the test of time, and that have stories to tell. That's why Georg Jensen Damask has returned to one of its most popular designs this spring, to relaunch the DAISY flowered table cloth in glorious summer colours.

DAISY was originally designed by Lisbeth Bennedsen in the 1980s. It was launched in the hope of forming stories and creating an atmosphere from the moment it was put on the table. Using the daisy as the motif, Bennedsen created a classic for a springtime table in our renowned damask weave quality. We are now relaunching this timeless design to once again provoke memories of flowers, sunny days and memorable moments shared around the table.
Our renowned damask quality continues to be the main feature of the DAISY table cloth, once again bearing the elegant and idyllic flower design. The light, graphic expression of these dainty flowers gives the cloth a modern touch, making it timeless and viable year after year.

DAISY was released last year in Drizzle, a truly delightful shade of grey. This spring, we give this eye-catching table cloth yet another colour update looking forward to the bright sunshine of Easter. In addition to the existing colour, Georg Jensen Damask has added a delicate pale yellow to the collection designed to suit any Easter lunch or al fresco dining with a classic, modern look.

The DAISY tablecloth is available in Sunbeam from EUR 170 in size 140 x 200 cm. The same design will also be launched as runners and serviettes. DAISY is retailed in Georg Jensen Damask profile shops nationwide and on damask.dk from week 12. Nearest retailer information can be requested by calling +45 75 52 27 00.

About Damask

Georg Jensen Damask is a culture bearer within Danish design tradition as well as the history of craft. Our history is built on proud weaving traditions since 1756, but members of the family behind Georg Jensen Damask have been weavers all the way back to the 1500s.  The weaving is based on a classic design with a focus on functionality and quality both back then and today.

Throughout times we have worked together with some of the most acknowledged weavers, designers and architects, for example Arne Jacobsen, Cecilie Manz, Andreas Engesvik, Margrethe Odgaard and Nanna Ditzel. Furthermore, we have been involved in several projects with the Royal Danish Court and we are proud to call ourselves Purveyor to Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark.
