These terms and conditions of sale and delivery will apply to orders placed on www.georgjensen-damask.com.

The agreement can be entered in following languages Danish, English, German, Swedish and Norwegian.


Payment

We accept the following payment methods: Visa, Visa Electron, Eurocard/ Mastercard, JCB, Diners, American Express, mobile payments, Google Pay, Apple Pay and **bank transfer. The amount will only be deducted from your account when the order is dispatched from Georg Jensen Damask. You will never be charged more than the amount you approve at the time of purchase.

**When choosing bank transfer, please transfer the amount within 7 days or your order will automatically be cancelled.

*For custom-made items, the full amount will be deducted before production begins.

Custom-made items are products that are defined by the customer: such as special sizes for tablecloths and bedding, name towels with woven names and special embroidery according to customer specifications. It is not possible to cancel an order for custom-made items.


Delivery

Delivery is within 1–2 shipment days after we receive your order. If the products are not in stock when you place your order, you can expect delivery to be within 15 working days. We will contact you as soon as possible with further information.

*Custom-made items will be delivered within 15 working days. *Name towels will be delivered according to the delivery times indicated on the relevant product page.


Freight

Orders above EUR 82 will be free of shipping costs in Denmark, Germany, Sweden and Norway. All prices are inclusive of tax and VAT. Orders below EUR 82, shipping costs will be charged. See freightprices

For orders paid for and delivered outside the EU, Danish VAT is deducted, but be aware that there may be local customs duties, VAT and possibly handling fees from the freight carrier in the destination country. We therefore recommend that you check local rules before ordering.

Please note that shipping rates outside Denmark may vary depending on the country.


100 days return

You have the right to cancel your purchase made on the website at any stage between placing your order and within 100 days of receiving your goods without explanation.


When you cancel a purchase we will refund your payment to your account as soon as possible and no later than 14 days after we have received the returned goods or, if received earlier, evidence from you that you have returned the goods.


If your choose to cancel a purchase you must return the goods in the same condition and quantity as when you received them.

Refunds will be transferred to the payment card with which the purchase was made unless agreed otherwise between us.

Cancellation rights

You are entitled to cancel your purchase within 100 days without giving any explanation. The deadline for withdrawal is 100 days from the date on which you or a third party appointed by you, and who is not the carrier, takes possession of the final goods delivered.

The deadline is due if you return the products without undue delay and no later than 100 days from the date of which you informed us of your wish to withdraw. Products returned for either cancellation or returns must be sent to the following address:

If you have ordered several items and we do not deliver the goods contemporary, the right of cancellation is due 100 days from the date where you or another person (not the carrier), get the last goods in possession.
If the deadline is due on a bank holiday, Saturday, Constitution Day, Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve Day the deadline is due the following working day.

You do not have a cancellation right if the goods are custom-made e.g.: Tablecloths, bed linen or terry towels with woven name etc.
You can cancel your purchase at any time within 100 days, and you can refuse to accept the delivery whether it is made directly to you, a post office or a parcel shop.


Return

If you have changed your mind about a purchase, you have to send it to the following address:

without any delay and no later than 14 days from the day you contacted us regarding changing your mind about the purchase. You have met the deadline if you return the purchase within 14 days. You cannot send the goods COD or without personal delivery.


Reimbursement

When you change your mind on a purchase, we refund all payments received from you except for any delivery costs. We will reimburse your expenses without any necessary delay and in any case no later than 14 days from the date where we have received your message regarding change of mind. Nevertheless, we can withhold the non-payment until we have received the returned goods or you have sent documentation that the goods are returned.

 

The money will be transferred to your bank account as soon as we have received the goods and the goods have been thoroughly inspected. We will use the same payment method used for the original transaction in order to provide the reimbursement, unless otherwise expressly agreed; under no circumstances will you be charged a fee for this refund. We may withhold the reimbursement until we have received the returned goods or until you have provided proof that you have returned the goods, whichever is earlier.

You must return or hand over the goods to us without delay and no later than fourteen (14) days from the date on which you notify us of withdrawal. The deadline is deemed to be met if you send the goods before the expiry of the fourteen-day deadline.

You are only responsible for the decrease in value if handling the goods is not consistent with establishing the use of the goods. You can examine the goods just as you examine the goods in a store, but you cannot start using the item.

If you have used the goods in one way or another, and we are not able to sell it again at full price, you must take into account that we withdraw the decrease in value from the reimbursement. If the goods no longer have a commercial value, we do not refund the money. You must return the goods in original packing. Furthermore, you have to make sure that the goods are thoroughly wrapped, when you return them.

Right of complaint

If you purchase an item and there is a defect – e.g. material or manufacturing fault the Danish Sale of Goods Act apply. You can complain regarding defects within 24 months from time of delivery by contacting:

Defects mean that you can either get the goods repaired, exchanged money back or a reduction in price – depending on the actual situation. This stipulates of course that the right of complaint is legitimate, and the defect not has occurred as a result of wrong handling of the product.
When we have received the product, you will receive a confirmation by mail that we have received the product for the treatment of complaints.

It will ease the processing time considerably if you enclose a description of flaws and deficiencies. If Georg Jensen Damask cannot state the flaws and deficiencies of the returned products, these products will be returned to you.

Products, which are returned to Georg Jensen Damask, is to be followed by receipt/ invoice whereof the time of purchase appears.

NOTICE! We do not accept parcels send cash on delivery or the like.
Always remember to return the goods in secure wrapping.

Guarantee of merchantable quality

When you shop at www.georgjensen-damask.com you naturally have a 24-month right to invoke lack of conformity. This means you are entitled to have the goods repaired, replaced, or to a refund or a discount, depending on the specific situation. This is contingent on the complaint being legitimate and the defect not being attributable to the incorrect use of the product or similar negligent behaviour.

The complaint must be filed within a reasonable period following the discovery of the defective item(s). Complaints are always deemed timely when they are filed within two months of discovering the defect.

We refund reasonable freight charges incurred returning faulty goods when there is a legitimate complaint.

To help speed up the processing of your complaint, we ask that you enclose a description of the flaw or defects. In the event that Georg Jensen Damask is unable to detect a flaw or defect in the returned goods, the said goods will be returned to you.

Products returned to Georg Jensen Damask must be accompanied by proof of the purchase date, i.e. a receipt or invoice. If no such documentation accompanies the goods, the complaint will first be processed when such documentation has been furnished.

NB! We do not accept goods sent COD or the like.
Remember that goods must always be returned in proper packaging and to obtain a postage receipt.


Personal data policy

A cookie is a term used to describe a small data file that registers a user’s behaviour on a network (the user’s hard drive). This enables a website, for example, to recognise the user the next time he/she visits the website.

In order to enter into an online agreement with www.georgjensen-damask.com, you must register the following personal information:

Your personal information is registered with us with a view to ensuring the delivery of the goods.
Personal information is registered with Georg Jensen Damask and stored for five years, after which the data are deleted.

When gathering personal information via our website, we make sure we first receive your express permission and that you are informed about precisely what data are gathered and why. Permission is explicitly implied on acceptance of the terms and conditions of sale.

Only the director and order processor at Georg Jensen Damask have access to your registered personal data.
We do not store encrypted personal data.

Information given to georgjensen-damask.com will not be passed on or sold to a third party, nor does www.georgjensen-damask.com register sensitive personal information.

As a registered user at Georg Jensen Damask, you always retain the right to oppose registration. You also have the right to access your registered information. These rights are set out in the Personal Data Processing Act and inquiries regarding these rights should be addressed to Georg Jensen Damask via e-mail gjd@damask.dk.


Information concerning complaint instructions

You can file a formal complaint at The Danish Competition and Consumer Authority, Carl Jacobsen’s Vej 35 2500 Valby, regarding products or services purchased at Georg Jensen Damask A/S. You can lodge a complaint to the Center of Complaint Solutions via www.forbrug.dk

The online EU Citizenship Portal can also be used when filing a formal complaint. It is very significant for you as a consumer with residence in another European country. Log statistics

At georgjensen-damask.com we use log statistics, i.e. a statistical system which gathers information that can provide a statistical picture of the number of website visitors, where they come from and where they leave the site etc.

Shipping outside EU

VAT and Import duties

On all orders paid or delivered outside the EU, all prices are exclusive of VAT on the products.
Any customs or import duties are charged once the parcel reaches the destination country. We recommend that you always check what applies in your country before placing your order.
