2019 is the year in which we turn our attention inward. Sleep, relief and mental surplus are the keywords, which reflects in our collection. The big focus on well-being draws threads to French skies and the special lightness of a summer's day among the graceful vines and undulating lavender fields. Therefore, on the colour side, the season also offers a pallet of dusty shades of purple, blue and white. Colours that are soothing to both the eye and mind.

Flax is a particularly popular material this season because it underlines the tendency to enjoy the present and to celebrate the perfect in the imperfect. Who knows? Perhaps the beauty is hidden in the small irregularities that the flax thread has in its nature?

We have been seduced by open spaces, wild field flowers and idyllic country style - in other words, we have fallen in love with the French atmosphere.

Welcome to a world of design - in ordinary Georg Jensen Damask quality. Just as you know it.

About Damask

Georg Jensen Damask is a culture bearer within Danish design tradition as well as the history of craft. Our history is built on proud weaving traditions since 1756, but members of the family behind Georg Jensen Damask have been weavers all the way back to the 1500s.  The weaving is based on a classic design with a focus on functionality and quality both back then and today.

Throughout times we have worked together with some of the most acknowledged weavers, designers and architects, for example Arne Jacobsen, Cecilie Manz, Andreas Engesvik, Margrethe Odgaard and Nanna Ditzel. Furthermore, we have been involved in several projects with the Royal Danish Court and we are proud to call ourselves Purveyor to Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark.
