Create an unpretentious yet coordinated table setting with placemats, a practice rooted in Danish design tradition. There is a multitude of simple and easy ways to add warmth and personality. At the same time, placemats are perfect for creating harmony among the plates, cutlery and glasses, where they allow the individual place setting to take on a character in the most beautiful way.

Placemats from Georg Jensen Damask are just as suitable for everyday meals as well as more joyful events on which you want to do something special with the table setting. The high quality of the fabric, weave and design contributes a special aesthetic and make the placemats stand out.

Most often, the placemats are based on the most sought-after tablecloths in the collection. For feasts, we offer several classic designs that will bring pleasure year after year.

About Damask

Georg Jensen Damask is a culture bearer within Danish design tradition as well as the history of craft. Our history is built on proud weaving traditions since 1756, but members of the family behind Georg Jensen Damask have been weavers all the way back to the 1500s.  The weaving is based on a classic design with a focus on functionality and quality both back then and today.

Throughout times we have worked together with some of the most acknowledged weavers, designers and architects, for example Arne Jacobsen, Cecilie Manz, Andreas Engesvik, Margrethe Odgaard and Nanna Ditzel. Furthermore, we have been involved in several projects with the Royal Danish Court and we are proud to call ourselves Purveyor to Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark.
