We recommend that you unfold the product completely before washing, and avoid overfilling the washing machine. After washing, stretch the product gently into shape
The product can withstand light tumble drying, but we recommend line drying as it is more gentle and environmentally friendly
At Georg Jensen Damask, we are constantly working to ensure a world of sustainable textiles, where proud values and traditional craftsmanship are honoured and preserved. One of the many efforts that support this goal is our initiative to minimise production-related waste, and our rag rug LAND is a good example of this. LAND is woven from textile scraps from our production of tea towels, kimonos, bed sheets and kitchen towels, and each rug is therefore unique and breathes new life into the beautiful textile scraps from which it is made.
The history of rag rugs dates back to the mid-19th century, when discarded textiles were used to weave rugs for the floors of mansions, castles and other stately homes. Rag rugs also became popular in ordinary homes, and these useful rugs can still be found in many homes to this day.
The colour Dark Blue lends LAND a classic look that makes the rug an individual element of the decor. The rag rug creates a cosy and personal atmosphere both at home and in the summerhouse.
