Soft, absorbent dishcloth in the finest quality cotton and in a timeless shade of black. To achieve unique drying capacity, the dishcloth has been knitted in a special honeycombed pattern that creates small pockets for water. Another important detail is that the dishcloth is easy to wring out and does not leave streaks on wiped surfaces.

A dishcloth in black is as practical as it is elegant. The colour is understated, with a timeless aesthetic that sparks happiness across kitchen trends, and it is beautiful with everything from oak to marble. The laced border emphasises the fact that the NORS dishcloth is pure everyday luxury which spreads beauty and joy when it is used.

The design is by Susanne Nors, who is a weaver in the traditional sense of the word. The dishcloth was developed in close collaboration with Georg Jensen Damask in a joint exploration of textile craftsmanship. Susanne Nors immersed herself into each single thread with a focus on twills and materials in order to create a timeless, functional design which was inspired by historical techniques. From the exquisite NORS tea towel in 100% pure cotton to the NORS dishcloth, whose pattern dissolves the idea of front and back by looking beautiful from both sides.

Also see the NORS tea towel, which combines aesthetics, functionality, and originality, just like the dishcloth.

About Damask

Georg Jensen Damask is a culture bearer within Danish design tradition as well as the history of craft. Our history is built on proud weaving traditions since 1756, but members of the family behind Georg Jensen Damask have been weavers all the way back to the 1500s.  The weaving is based on a classic design with a focus on functionality and quality both back then and today.

Throughout times we have worked together with some of the most acknowledged weavers, designers and architects, for example Arne Jacobsen, Cecilie Manz, Andreas Engesvik, Margrethe Odgaard and Nanna Ditzel. Furthermore, we have been involved in several projects with the Royal Danish Court and we are proud to call ourselves Purveyor to Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark.
