Andreas Engesvik
Andreas Engesvik (born 1970) began his studies at the University of Bergen, from where he has a BFA in Art History. He continued his studies at the National College of Art and Design, in Bergen. After completing his education with a BA honorary award in 2000, he established the Award-winning design studio Norway Says that same year. Because of 6 years of success, Andreas Engesvik went solo in 2009 and established his new studio Andreas Engesvik, Oslo. In his new studio, he works with a focus on long-term design cooperation with international brands such as Littala, Muuto, FontanaArte, Asplund and Fogia, within areas from furniture and tableware to industrial design. He has won several awards, among others Red Dot Award, Wallpaper Design Award and Bruno Mathsson Award.
Andreas Engesvik is one of the most acknowledged designers in Norway, and he has dedicated his work to promote Norwegian design internationally. In 2012 Engesvik was appointed guest lecturer at the HHS in Stockholm.
Andreas Engesvik has designed the Engesvik by hand collection for Georg Jensen Damask, including placemats, bed linen, table runners and tablecloths.
