Work on the beautiful Easter motif began in 1978 and the design remains a classic harbinger of spring with its stylised chicks and eggs that are part of the Easter season. The runner can be placed directly on the Easter dining table or over a white damask tablecloth for a more formal expression.
The Easter motif was designed by Bodil Bødtker-Næss, who was part of the inner circle of textile artists working with Georg Jensen Damask in the 1970s. The pattern in our iconic Easter design is based on stylized chickens and eggs, which are given a beautiful and vibrant look through the damask weave. The design combines craftsmanship, quality and nostalgia and gathers generations around the table during the festive season.
