RAIN 20 tea towels Blue Stripe

EUR 19.00
Design: Cecilie Manz

This is a neoclassical tea towel in finest 100% linen, Linen has an optimal drying capacity and is just as functional as it is beautiful in the kitchen.

The design is by Cecilie Manz, who has made a significant impression on Danish design tradition. RAIN is the designer’s rigorous aesthetic interpretation of the archetypal kitchen square in a series of three tea towels. The natural linen colour is woven with a single white thread to create a vivid mottled surface, which serves as a background for the design’s blue lines.

RAIN 20 has a distinctive design consisting of 20 vertical and 20 horizontal lines that combine to create a multiplicity of squares on the tea towel. Despite its close affinity with the other two designs, the tea towel is completely individual. This tea towel is a beautiful addition to the kitchen by itself or when standing side by side with RAIN 1 and RAIN 3.

The collection also features the STILL LIFE tablecloth by Cecilie Manz.

The size of the tea towel is 50 x 80 cm.

About Linen Tea Towels:
  • Weaved in 100% linen

  • Wash at 60 °C.

Good advice
  • Soak the tea towels in cold water for 24 hours and then wash them at 60 °C. This allows the fibres to straighten out and ensures good drying efficiency from the start.

  • Unfold product before soaking.

  • You can tumble dry the  product, but we recommend line-drying, it gives a smoother result and it is better for the environment

About Damask

Georg Jensen Damask is a culture bearer within Danish design tradition as well as the history of craft. Our history is built on proud weaving traditions since 1756, but members of the family behind Georg Jensen Damask have been weavers all the way back to the 1500s.  The weaving is based on a classic design with a focus on functionality and quality both back then and today.

Throughout times we have worked together with some of the most acknowledged weavers, designers and architects, for example Arne Jacobsen, Cecilie Manz, Andreas Engesvik, Margrethe Odgaard and Nanna Ditzel. Furthermore, we have been involved in several projects with the Royal Danish Court and we are proud to call ourselves Purveyor to Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark.
