Design: Andreas Engesvik
The elegant hand-drawn line makes ENGESVIK a unique damask tablecloth, where the craftsmanship involved is clearly evident.
Norwegian designer Andreas Engesvik is the man behind the design. The hand-drawn pattern on the tablecloth celebrates the idea of the simple life and was created in close collaboration with Georg Jensen Damask. The lines are woven into the cloth with thread that is a slightly lighter shade than the blue background colour.
The weaving itself is a complicated affair, as the threads must follow the uneven lines created by the pressure on the pencil. The result is a pattern of graphical ease and intrinsic humanism. This Damask tablecloth has been treated with a finish that protects it from dirt and stains.

The tablecloth has a diameter of 160 cm with a recommended overhang of 20–25 cm, which means it will fit tables with a diameter of up to 120 cm. The round tablecloth falls beautifully around the table and emphasises craftsmanship. Napkins in contrasting colour accentuate the personal expression.
The ENGESVIK design is also available as table runners and placemats.
