STILL LIFE runners Grey Blue

EUR 62.00

   In stock
A simple and elegant table runner with an eye for details and the most beautiful blue-grey hue. The table runner contributes with decorative, tightly composed aesthetics that makes room for and celebrates life around the table whether it is used in the middle of the table or for an informal decoration across the table.

With its elegant blue-grey colour, the STILL LIFE table runner revokes the eternity of space and the oceans. The colour has an inherent lightness and creates a harmonic expression that with the design makes the table runner a timeless element in the table decoration that can be the foundation for everything from a discreet decoration to a more playful decoration with wild grasses and garden flowers.

The design is by Cecilie Manz, who has made a significant impression on Danish design tradition through her minimalistic approach. With the STILL LIFE design, she has created a refined geometric design with spaces of horizontal and vertical lines that repeat themselves with references to still life depicted in paintings. Originally, the design was brought to life as a tablecloth with a pattern repeat spanning over several meters while the table runner is woven with a carefully chosen part of the pattern and the same unique signature. Napkins in matching colours will complete the expression.

The STILL LIFE design is also available as tablecloth and place mats, and the collection also includes RAIN dish towels designed by Cecilie Manz.

About Damask

Georg Jensen Damask is a culture bearer within Danish design tradition as well as the history of craft. Our history is built on proud weaving traditions since 1756, but members of the family behind Georg Jensen Damask have been weavers all the way back to the 1500s.  The weaving is based on a classic design with a focus on functionality and quality both back then and today.

Throughout times we have worked together with some of the most acknowledged weavers, designers and architects, for example Arne Jacobsen, Cecilie Manz, Andreas Engesvik, Margrethe Odgaard and Nanna Ditzel. Furthermore, we have been involved in several projects with the Royal Danish Court and we are proud to call ourselves Purveyor to Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark.
