THE ART OF TABLE SETTING
The set table is a place we all love to gather around. It’s how we show our guests that we have done our utmost to make the dinner special – whether it’s for life’s big events, a holiday, or a casual weeknight around the table.
Your choice of tablecloth, colours and materials helps to set the mood and create the perfect setting for memorable moments for you and your guests.
We love providing inspiration for beautiful table settings so that guests can sit at a beautifully set table and enjoy the food and atmosphere. Everything that you’ve made an effort to do.
Will you set your table with colourful cloth napkins or classic white ones? Perhaps a table runner will make your dinner intimate: a meeting of two people.
Or are you setting up for a cosy weeknight with decorative placemats? We guide you on how to create atmospheric gatherings – both large and small.
Find inspiration for everything from napkin folding to flowers and lights as we show you how any occasion can be dressed up by adding carefully chosen fabrics to the table.
There is so much worth celebrating. When it comes to birthdays and weddings, Christmas or Easter, several of the tablecloths in our collection have a special place in many hearts. Perhaps they do in yours, too?
H. C. ANDERSEN ON THE BIRTHDAY TABLE
When the family celebrates a birthday, the H.C. ANDERSEN tablecloth is a classic item for many people, delighting children and adults alike.
The design of H.C. Andersen’s paper cutouts dates back to 1920 and they are full of the adventurous joy of storytelling, ready for exploration.
Just think: it was this very tablecloth that led to our collaboration with the Danish royal family in 1951. Today, the beautiful H.C. Andersen design also
comes as a placemat so your table can have a magical element on big or small occasions.

BRAIDED HEARTS FOR CHRISTMAS
They say that Christmas is the celebration of hearts. The CHRISTMAS TABLECLOTH is loved for its beautiful, simple design of braided Christmas hearts,
making it an indispensable part of Christmas in many homes. The motif was designed by Bodil Bødtker-Næss in 1975, and laying
the tablecloth instantly spreads Christmas spirit. We have been told that the tablecloth is often passed
on through the generations. There’s no higher praise than that!
Since the tablecloth’s launch, placemats, table runners and Christmas tree rugs have also been released with the familiar motif.
Perfect at Christmas – and for creating a common theme that runs through your Christmas decorations.
EASTER IN YELLOW
Easter is another celebration that brings together many generations and good friends around the table.
The EASTER TABLECLOTH is a design that belongs to Easter tradition for many people. After the success of the CHRISTMAS TABLECLOTH,
Bodil Bødtker-Næss designed the EASTER TABLECLOTH in 1978. The stylised chickens and eggs are a beautiful foundation for Easter decorations and traditions,
and act as a true harbinger of spring, creating joy year after year. Don’t forget that the EASTER TABLECLOTH’s evocative
design is also available in placemats and table runners – perfect as an alternative to setting the table with a tablecloth.
THE CLASSIC WHITE TABLECLOTH
Very simply, it’s hard to do without it. The classic white tablecloth always makes a table look beautiful and elegant,
and you can use it in quite a minimalist way – or as a tranquil element in a colourful celebration.
That’s why we always have several white tablecloths to choose from in our collection. It’s the tablecloth of weddings, christenings and confirmations.
The tablecloth that never goes out of fashion.
