Design: Bent Georg Jensen

Classic and at the same time modern baby and junior bedding in a wonderful lavender colour. In all its simplicity, the design is elegant, clean, and harmonic, which are perfect features in the children’s room where repetition and rituals contribute to creating comfort and calm.

In Dusty Lavender the dusty lavender hue of the bedding is like a soft hug that levitates the mind to fields of lavender under the French sky. Pure luxury that creates a light and summery atmosphere in the children’s room with its shining, beautiful lavender colour that is highlighted in the graphic design. A Georg Jensen Damask sheet in a solid canvas weave completes the expression.

The design was created by weaver and textile engineer Bent Georg Jensen, who as well as being at the forefront of Georg Jensen Damask for many years, was also a driving force in design development. The geometric pattern is designed as a staircase, which is repeated and broken only by a vertical line. The TRIPP design is a classic in the damask collection.

About Damask

Georg Jensen Damask is a culture bearer within Danish design tradition as well as the history of craft. Our history is built on proud weaving traditions since 1756, but members of the family behind Georg Jensen Damask have been weavers all the way back to the 1500s.  The weaving is based on a classic design with a focus on functionality and quality both back then and today.

Throughout times we have worked together with some of the most acknowledged weavers, designers and architects, for example Arne Jacobsen, Cecilie Manz, Andreas Engesvik, Margrethe Odgaard and Nanna Ditzel. Furthermore, we have been involved in several projects with the Royal Danish Court and we are proud to call ourselves Purveyor to Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark.
