1959 is a classic woven kitchen towel crafted in premium quality soft cotton. With its waffle structure, the special weave ensures outstanding absorbency. 1959 is a lighter alternative to the other kitchen towels in the collection, and the strong cotton-weave textiles can be used as both hand towels and tea towels.

The 1959 kitchen towel was originally designed by weaver and textile engineer Bent Georg Jensen, who headed Georg Jensen Damask for many years and was a driving force behind the design development.
Wash & care
- Wash at 60°C.
- When washing coloured products, we recommend using a laundry detergent developed for coloured textiles and without bleach, to preserve the colours in the best way possible.
- Before using the product for the first time, we recommend soaking it in cold water for about 24 hours. This will straighten out the fibres and ensure effective absorbency from the start.
- For a smoother result, unfold the product completely before soaking and washing and avoid overfilling the machine.
- The product can be tumble dried or hung to dry.
- We recommend ironing for a smooth and satiny look.
