With its iconic motif symbolically reminding us that Christmas is the festival of hearts, the round Christmas tablecloth is a nostalgic signature design in the damask collection. This is an exclusive tablecloth that one grows up with and passes on to the next generation.
Bodil Bødtker-Næss, who was one the inner-circle of textile designers at Georg Jensen Damask in the 1970s, designed the motif. She was also responsible for the classic Easter design from the same period. The braided Christmas hearts and stylised spruce twigs have represented the quintessence of Christmas atmosphere for more than 40 years and the design is an essential part of Christmas in many Danish homes.
The classic colour combination of Christmas red and gold has a special place in the hearts of many Danes and has been part of our collection since its introduction in 1975. With its beautiful simplicity, the Christmas tablecloth upholds the original colour combination of Yuletide tradition. Matching napkins woven in linen complete the expression.
The tablecloth has a diameter of 160 cm with a recommended overhang of 20\u201325 cm, which means it will fit tables with a diameter of up to 120 cm. With a beautiful combination of detail and simplicity, the timeless motif has become a true classic and the background for Christmas decorations and traditions.
The Christmas tablecloth is also available as runners, placemats, napkins.
Wash & care
- Wash at 60°C. White damask tablecloths can be washed at 95°C.
- When washing coloured products, we recommend using a laundry detergent developed for coloured textiles and without bleach, to preserve the colours in the best way possible.
- For a smoother result, we recommend that you unfold the product fully before washing and avoid overfilling the machine. The product should be gently stretched after washing and hung to dry.
- For a smoother result, we recommend washing the product on a low spin cycle \\u2013 max. 600\\u2013800 rpm. Then hang the product to dry and iron it while still slightly damp.
