1959 is a classic woven kitchen towel made of soft cotton. Its distinctive waffle texture ensures optimal absorbency, and its robust quality makes it versatile for use as both a towel and a tea towel. The clear blue-green hue, Deep Glass, is inspired by the color of raw glass.
1959 was designed by weaver and textile engineer Bent Georg Jensen, who led Georg Jensen Damask for many years and was the driving force behind its design evolution.
Wash & care
- Wash at 60°C.
- When washing coloured products, we recommend using a laundry detergent developed for coloured textiles and without bleach, to preserve the colours in the best way possible.
- Before using the product for the first time, we recommend soaking it in cold water for about 24 hours. This will straighten out the fibres and ensure effective absorbency from the start.
- For a smoother result, unfold the product completely before soaking and washing and avoid overfilling the machine.
- The product can be tumble dried or hung to dry.
- We recommend ironing for a smooth and satiny look.
