Abild is a classic in the Georg Jensen Damask collection and celebrates its 35th anniversary this year. The iconic design is woven in a blend of 50% linen and 50% cotton, and its clean, structured expression is beautiful both on its own and combined with other tea towels and kitchen textiles. The Cashmere colour combination is a special, limited anniversary edition featuring grey‑brown and deep brown stripes on a light beige background.
Abild is designed by weaver and textile engineer Bent Georg Jensen, who is behind several of Georg Jensen Damask’s iconic patterns. For many years, he headed Georg Jensen Damask and was a driving force in the company’s design development.
Wash & care
- Wash at 60°C.
- When washing coloured products, we recommend using a laundry detergent developed for coloured textiles and without bleach, to preserve the colours in the best way possible.
- Before using the product for the first time, we recommend soaking it in cold water for about 24 hours. This will straighten out the fibres and ensure effective absorbency from the start.
- For a smoother result, unfold the product completely before soaking and washing and avoid overfilling the machine.
- The product is recommended to be hung to dry.
- We recommend ironing for a smooth and satiny look.
