The Christmas table runner’s nostalgic motif, featuring delicate woven Christmas hearts and stylized fir branches, was created by textile artist Bodil Bødtker-Næss in 1975 and has since become a signature design in the Georg Jensen Damask collection. Inspired by the smooth, gray-brown bark of old hazel trees, the table runner’s elegant color is named Hazel Wood.
Bodil Bødtker-Næss was part of the core group of textile artists around Georg Jensen Damask in the 1970s and also created the Easter motif in 1979.
The runner can be used directly on the Christmas table or atop a white damask tablecloth for a more formal look.
The Christmas table runner is woven in 100% double-twisted combed cotton.
Wash & care
- Wash at 60°C. White damask tablecloths can be washed at 95°C.
- When washing coloured products, we recommend using a laundry detergent developed for coloured textiles and without bleach, to preserve the colours in the best way possible.
- For a smoother result, we recommend that you unfold the product fully before washing and avoid overfilling the machine. The product should be gently stretched after washing and hung to dry.
- For a smoother result, we recommend washing the product on a low spin cycle – max. 600–800 rpm. Then hang the product to dry and iron it while still slightly damp.
