The GJD towel is a signature towel in the same design, quality, and colors as the Damask Terry name towels, but with Georg Jensen Damask's iconic logo woven into the terry cloth at the bottom of the towel. The color Grey is a dark gray classic.
The towel with the logo measures 70x140 cm and is woven in 100% double-twisted combed cotton.
Georg Jensen Damask's logo featuring two weaver birds sitting at the nest was drawn in the 1920s and is present today on many of our products, symbolizing quality and timeless design.
The soft terry bath towel makes for a great gift for design enthusiasts or as extra bath towels for guests at home.
While name towels are woven on demand, GJD towels can be purchased directly from the online shop.
Wash & care
- Wash at 60°C.
- When washing coloured products, we recommend using a laundry detergent developed for coloured textiles and without bleach, to preserve the colours in the best way possible. White terry towel products can be washed at temperatures of up to 95°C.
- Before using the product for the first time, we recommend that you unfold it completely, soak it in cold water for about 1 hour and wash it at 60°C. This will ensure the loops expand and thus minimise the risk of snagging.
- If a thread begins to pull or snag, simply remove the thread with a pair of scissors. The weave is so tight that it will not unravel, but will hold by itself.
- We recommend tumble drying for soft, fluffy towels.
- Avoid overfilling the washing machine and tumble dryer to allow the product to move freely and shed excess fibres.
