What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that we store on your computer to keep track of what happens during your visit and to recognise your computer. A cookie contains only text, is not a programme and does not contain viruses.

The website's use of cookies

Cookies are necessary for the website to function. Cookies also help us get an overview of your visit to the website, so that we can continuously optimise and target the website to your needs and interests. For example, cookies remember what you add to a possible shopping cart, whether you have previously visited the site, whether you are logged in and which language and currency you would like to see displayed on the website. We also use cookies to target our adverts to you on other websites. In general, cookies are used as part of our service to display content that is as relevant as possible for you. Here is an overview of the website's use of cookies and our partners in this regard.

How to reject or delete your cookies

Reject cookies: You can always reject cookies on your computer by changing the settings in your internet browser. The location of the settings depends on which browser you use. However, you should be aware that if you do change them, you will not be able to use many of the site's features and services because these features and services require the website to remember the choices you make.

Deletion of cookies: Cookies you have previously accepted can be easily deleted afterwards. If you use a PC/computer with a newer Internet browser, you can delete your cookies by using the shortcut keys:
CTRL + SHIFT + Delete. If the shortcut keys do not work and/or you use a Mac, you must first find out which browser you are using and then click the relevant link:
Remember: If you use multiple internet browsers, delete cookies in all of them.

How to complain about a website's cookie information

The website is part of the cookie labelling scheme under FDIH (the Danish e-commerce association), and if you believe that the website does not comply with the cookie rules, you can therefore direct your complaint to FDIH.

Before you send your complaint to FDIH, the following prerequisites must be met:
You have previously complained directly to the person responsible for the website in question, including a detailed description of where and in what way the website fails to comply with the Danish guidelines.
Your complaint has been rejected or the issue has not been resolved within 30 working days of receipt of the complaint.
If you fulfil the above requirements, please send your complaint to FDIH at kontakt@fdih.dk.

The complaint must contain:

  • Your name
  • Your address
  • Your email address
  • Your telephone number
  • Website's URL
  • Detailed description of the object of the complaint
  • Documentation of previous complaint to the website

FDIH (the Danish e-commerce association) will then process your complaint within a reasonable time. If your complaint is upheld, the cookie label will be removed from the website.
