Older Paris

OLDER Paris is a brand created by the design duo of Morten Thuesen and Letizia Caramia. Since 2013 they have designed uniforms for high-end restaurants and boutique hotels all over the world from their base in Paris. From the outset, their mission has been to combine quality, functionality and design in uniforms that are both comfortable and stylish.

Danish Morten Thuesen and Italian Letizia Caramia have a shared background in international fashion, working with iconic fashion houses such as Alexander McQueen and Isabel Marant. They both wanted to create design with a high durability in terms of both materials and design expression, as an alternative to fleeting fashion trends. With OLDER Paris they embrace a sustainable mindset, including developing their own organic, stain-resistant textile which they use for all their uniform designs. Their goal is to create design that ages gracefully. That possesses an inherent timelessness and quality that reach far into the future. That grows 'older' as the most natural process in the world.

Since the founding of OLDER Paris, the brand's stylish uniforms have found their way into a wide range of prominent restaurant kitchens, gourmet universes and art galleries and have also been embraced by gastronomic trendsetters. The reference list includes NOMA’s Barr & 108, Amass, Aska, Atsushi Tanaka, Le Mary Celeste, Frederik Bille Brahe, Palais de Tokyo & Les Grands Verres, Rosio Sanchéz, Simone Tondo, Tokuyoshi and many others.

In addition to a coherent collection of extraordinary uniforms, OLDER Paris also offers bespoke solutions that fuse design, gastronomy and sustainability, just as the design duo has also connected with the world of art and interior designs in collaborative projects with Studio Olafur Eliasson and Georg Jensen Damask, among others.

In the collaboration with Georg Jensen Damask, the design approach of OLDER Paris has inspired the OLDER collection of bed linen, which is essentially a range of 'uniforms' for duvets and pillows, specifically referencing the traditional striped shirt. The collection is framed by a common set of values where quality and expression are the cornerstones of a contemporary design expression that has its roots in proud traditions – and an appeal to future generations.
