Wider or longer? We are happy to help with custom sizes
 
At Georg Jensen Damask, we have our own sewing workshop where we sew textiles in custom sizes. If you need a longer tablecloth, we’re more than happy to thread our needles.
 
Not all tables are the same and have standard sizes. If our collection does not contain the measurements you require, we can offer custom sewing to meet your individual needs. For all custom orders, you pay for the fabric and a fixed price for the seamstress' time.

Custom length tablecloths
If you have a table with a length that does not match a tablecloth in our standard collection, we have almost all of our designs on rolls, so we can sew the tablecloth in exactly the length you want.
 
Extending the width of a tablecloth
If you need a tablecloth that is wider than 160 cm, we can extend the width of the tablecloth. This is done by cutting two lengths of damask fabric and discreetly sewing them together down the middle. You pay for the fabric and a fixed price for the seamstress’ time. Please note that we always have at least one design in the collection sold by the metre in widths of up to 210 cm. Please note that there are designs in the collection for which it is not possible to extend the width. Please contact us for more information.
 
Oval tablecloths 
We can also sew tablecloths that fit certain types of oval tables. For widths of over 160 cm, we also have the option of extending the width of the tablecloth. We cut two lengths of damask fabric and discreetly sew them together down the middle.
 
Round tablecloths 
We can also sew tablecloths that fit certain types of round tables. The maximum width in our standard collection is 160 cm, but widths can be extended by discreetly sewing two lengths of damask fabric together down the middle.

Classic craftsmanship & quality

The Easter motif was designed by Bodil Bødtker-Næss, who was part of the inner circle of textile artists working with Georg Jensen Damask in the 1970s. The pattern in our iconic Easter design is based on stylized chickens and eggs, which are given a beautiful and vibrant look through the damask weave. The design combines craftsmanship, quality and nostalgia and gathers generations around the table during the festive season.

The design was launched in 2002 as a tribute to the Danish architect to mark the 100th anniversary of his birth, and serves to continue the design legacy of Arne Jacobsen in all its elegance and simplicity. The Arne Jacobsen design collection has been carefully selected together with his grandson, Tobias Jacobsen, who has also designed textiles for our collection.
 This white <a rel="noopener" href="/table-setting/round-tablecloths" target="_blank">tablecloth</a> captures a completely classical expression and a special elegance, providing the table with a beautiful covering for occasions that call for something special. Matching napkins woven in linen complete the expression.
 The tablecloth has a diameter of 165 cm with a recommended overhang of 20–25 cm, which means it will fit tables with a diameter of up to 120 cm. Arne Jacobsen’s graphic pattern will look lovely on any table and will add a discrete, stylish look to the decor.
