The octagonal Christmas tree rug with the iconic motif from the Christmas Tablecloth unites craftsmanship, quality and nostalgia. The Christmas tree rug acts as a festive base for the Christmas tree and will bring joy for many years to come.
The motif was designed by Bodil Bødtker-Næss, who was in the inner circle of textile artists around Georg Jensen Damask in 1970. The pleated Christmas hearts and stylised spruce twigs have represented the quintessence of Danish Christmas spirit for more than 45 years, and the design is an indispensable part of Christmas in many homes. The Christmas tree rug has a beautiful star in the middle – a traditional feature of the holiday season.
The dark green colour is one of the classic shades of Christmas, and it exudes an old-fashioned Christmas feeling. The colour is very evocative without being too dominant in the room.
The Christmas design is also available as tablecloth, placemat and table runner.
Wash & care
- Wash at 40°C.
- When washing coloured products, we recommend using a laundry detergent developed for coloured textiles and without bleach, to preserve the colours in the best way possible.
- For a smoother result, we recommend that you unfold the product completely before washing and avoid overfilling the machine. The product should be gently stretched after washing and hung to dry.
- We recommend ironing for a smooth and shiny look.
